Gay Denial

Fiji Times, April 18, 2005
Letters

Lobby groups in Australia and New Zealand have branded Fiji “barbaric” for its stand over the homosexual case at Nadi.

The citizens, via the churches, must encourage overseas lobbyists to convince the Government to institute a referendum and let the majority of people in Fiji decide the fate of the duo.

This nation is highly democratic and deeply rooted in Christianity.

Fiji’s majority population cannot continue to succumb to outside pressure with local participation from any influential minority.

Let us pray that the will of the eternal God Almighty and not the will of homosexuals continues to prevail in this beautiful and blessed nation.
