In response to "Felony law on sodomy debated" (May 12), et al.:

Stephanie Gibbs’ excellent articles describing the hypocrisy and narrow-mindedness surrounding gay rights issues have exposed the selective enforcement of the state’s "crimes against nature" statute.

Curiously, many of the same people calling for "less government interference" in our lives seem obsessed by what might be going on in our bedrooms.

I may have committed a crime or two against nature myself while living here, but I risk little because I am married. I hate that my sexual orientation gives me prerogatives over other members of society. Please, let’s repeal the CAN law. I’m embarrassed for us all.
