In stating that homosexuality is "abhorrent, immoral, detestable, a crime against nature, and a violation of the laws of nature," Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore has demonstrated that it is he who is absolutely unworthy of sitting in a place of supposedly unbiased judgment.

Even in a Bible-banging, backward state such as Alabama, this kind of rhetoric has no place in a court of justice.

Just as Alabama is an embarrassment to America, Moore’s religious fanaticism is an embarrassment to decency and tolerance, and he should be removed from office.
