Bigamist Uses Sodomy Ruling as Defense

Focus on the Family, December 2, 2003

A Utah bigamist has cited the U.S. Supreme Courtís decision decriminalizing sodomy as reason for his convictions to be overturned.

Tom Green maintains that if two homosexuals have a right to privacy the state canít violate to enforce laws against homosexual sex, the state has no business telling him he canít be married to five women.

ďIt doesnít bother anyone, (and with) no compelling state interest in what you do in your own home with consenting adults, you should be allowed to do so,Ē Greenís attorney, John Bucher, argued to the Utah Supreme Court.
