RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE DECRIMINALIZATION OF THE  SODOMY LAW

The Cleveland Park Citizens Association opposes the repeal of the D. C. law against Sodomy.

At its regular meeting on January 9, the Association voted against the passage of Bills intended to decriminalize acts of sodomy between so-called "consenting partners".

Bearing in mind the continuing threat to health and life of AIDS, especially rampant in the District of Columbia, the Association is against any endorsement by the government of the District of Columbia that sodomy is an acceptable, normal way of life.

The Association resolved to send copies of this Resolution and Decision to the D. C. Council, the Mayor, the D. C. Federation of Civic Associations and the Federation of Citizens Associations of the District of Columbia and the media.

Done by vote of the Membership, January 9, 1993.
