ACLU Begins Preparations for a Test Case
  Gay Blade,
  September 1970
The Washington ACLU is now in the process of preparing a case which if won
would erase DC's sodomy statute from the books. Two male couples and one
female couple have volunteered to aid in the case, which would involve
"staging" a homosexual act between two adults. The participants will
then act as plaintiffs, not defendants, by asking the court to throw out the
law because it interferes with their civil liberties.

has been added for clarity and web navigation. -Bob Summersgill
